All I needed were curtains that truly, completely, and thoroughly block out sunlight. Spoiler alert — these are the ones!
Some reviews mention that the curtains don’t hold back sunlight well, but here in Chicago, they do an excellent job. You know, it can even get chilly here, and these curtains keep the heat in as well.
Having shared the main point, which is that they fulfill their intended purpose, let’s take a look at their appearance. And let’s even feel them!
The material is pleasant to the touch — although that’s not particularly important since we won’t be touching them often. Additionally, it’s thick, as expected from blackout curtains.
They are sewn neatly, with no loose threads, and the seams are straight.
In conclusion: a great purchase for the price!

we LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!! they are an extremely soft material, they aren’t too thick either. i got them in grey and let me tell you, they keep the light OUT!!! i got them about mid length down my wall and they were PERFECT. the holes for the curtain rod is a decent size so it makes it super easy to get it in there. we haven’t tried to wash these yet but with the material they are i know it shouldn’t be a problem.

These are room darkening curtains and Not blackout curtains suitable for a bedroom. If you need blackout curtains you would need to hang 2 packages (each package has two 52 inch wide panels) or buy a different product. These did not come wrinkled and the fabric is smooth polyester without that foam backing you see on some curtains. So the quality is fine but they aren’t as opaque as advertised.

Purchased 6 sets for my entire house. They block the heat, light and still shine through or let more in. If it were black then it would be dark in the room. Still allows light but blocks the heat if that makes since?!

My review is only about these curtains in the “Ivory”color. When I got them they looked almost a light orangey color. Not at all the color in the ad. When you look at the different colors this brand curtains come in the photo of the ivory almost looks like white. Just maybe a tiny bit of color. I was expecting them to maybe look like a slight off white or cream. They really looked like a light orange. Not at all the color I was expecting. I had to return them. I do also have these curtain in white and the white ones are beautiful and look amazing. They are not see through like most curtains but they are also not black out even though the ad says blackout. They let light in but you cannot see through them. So the white ones are good but if you really truly want blackout curtains these are definitely not blackout. I gave only 3 stars because the photo of the ivory curtain does not show the true color of the curtain and because these are definitely not blackout curtains.

I bought these to replace the curtains in the living room. I had spent too much time going from store to store as I attempted to find something I like. The main drawback with many of the ones I saw in store was the feel of the material, the perceived quality-price ratio and the size. Because I bought the 46 wide the order took a few days to arrive. They were worth the wait. Easy to put up, the look great.

These curtains were just what I was looking for to help darken my rooms. In Hawaii, the sun shining in the windows causes fading on the carpets and furniture, so I rely on my curtains to block out the sun. My last set of black out curtains had a type of film painted/ironed on it and it peeled off after a while leaving shedding residue on the floor. These do not have that, the curtains are just a light, but dense weave, that blocks out the lighting. When I opened the package and felt how light they were, I was doubtful they would work, but they do.

The color I chose is camel. The length is 54”. They lay perfectly with folds attended to during installation so they keep a tailored look and don’t look sloppy like some grommet curtains will. I’ll keep them opened for a couple weeks to train the materials to go back to a tailored hanging position after closing at night or on sunny days on my porch. This may become a bother since it does get a lot of sun all day. I’m hoping the sun will help train the folds a lot quicker for me. My last porch curtains were cotton but they practically starched and ironed themselves in the full sun. These materials are polyester and more soft. The color of choice was Camel and was a more outdoors kind of vibe. The Camel is more like a sable color brown. I used the same color on my shed for the trim. I’m sold. It’s just lovely. Very woodsy around my home so I love the blend they created with the trees and greenery. They completely transformed my outdoors space look and it’s very classy out here. I have a three season porch enclosed so winter breezes will get left out at the windows if I close them for breezy winter days but they will catch sun and keep insulating the warm from the front side through to my uninsulated enclosure I hope. A bit of happy times so far. I just love them. My windows are 33’ inside the frame (W) and 52” long (L) inside the frame top to bottom. They hangover just a bit. The grommets are large enough to fit any curtain rod. I hung mine on tension rods that are new and the size is just maybe 1” around and it’s holding them great. Thank goodness the curtains are a hefty looking material but light weight. Great combination. Im so happy I chose these curtains I really did research. Get these. I do highly recommend them.
